Music That Connects

From the concert stage to the classroom, PureLand Duo creates memorable experiences that bring together exceptional musicianship, original music, contemporary favorites, and deeply personal storytelling.
Singer/lyricist Laurie Rubin and pianist/composer Jenny Taira are graduates of the Yale School of Music who have spent more than a decade creating music together and connecting with audiences of all ages. Drawing on their extensive careers as performers, composers, writers, and educators, they bring a rare combination of artistry and personal connection to every engagement. Their programs can be presented as concerts, school and community engagements, university programs, residencies, keynotes, and special events.
At the heart of every PureLand experience is a simple idea: music has the power to help us see ourselves—and one another—with greater empathy, courage, and hope.
