PURELAND DUO

Music. Stories. Hope.

PureLand Duo is singer/lyricist Laurie Rubin and pianist/composer Jenny Taira, a classically trained musical duo whose original music and contemporary arrangements blend artistry, accessibility, and deeply personal storytelling.

Having met at the Yale School of Music, Jenny and Laurie have performed nationally and internationally at venues including the Kennedy Center, 92nd Street Y, Ravinia Festival, and the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest.

From concert stages to schools and community settings, PureLand creates engaging experiences centered on connection, identity, resilience, hope, and joy. Their programs combine original music, acoustic arrangements of contemporary favorites, and stories drawn from their lives and creative journey.

After years of touring, building a family, founding a youth arts organization, and creating original musical theater, PureLand Duo is returning to the touring stage with new music, new stories, and a renewed commitment to connecting with audiences.
